Everyday Driver just did a video on the Honda Ridgeline. Not the toughest thing in the world but for what you are describing (especially the commute) sounds like it could be perfect. Check out the video at least. I believe the old one in your price range was similar story.

They haven't been mentioned yet, but the NBSS 08-2013 GMC Sierra trucks are pretty nice and very useful. I had a 2011 for oh 5 years, drove it all over the US and Canada, averaged around 19 MPG most of the time. Only sold it once I bought my X5, and wasn't needing a truck for hauling or towing at the time.

Update - ended up taking longer on my truck purchase, but at the end of the day got better truck than I originally planned. So far very impressed w the 2.7 eco. Took a recent all hgwy trip and managed to get 29mpg.

Looks great, congratulations. What is the spec? Looks like crew cab short bed. Can't tell if it's 4x4 or not.

What is the towing specification? Stock/standard or uprated?

Yes, I had to increase budget to get a crew cab w reasonable miles.

W some negotiation got it for $25.5k, 46k miles on it.

It's 2wd, crew cab, short bed, didn't want to spend extra 5k for 4x4. Mpg was important, as it will be dd, and central VA gets snow once or twice a season that melts in a day.

Towing spec is max at 7,600 lbs, not bad but I have nothing to tow lol.

Pic below of my all hgwy trip yesterday. Amazing mpg for something that weighs close to 5k lbs w 325 hp and 400 tq

Congrats, those 2.7s are surprisingly great little engines even for a half ton.
