Completely agree.
I liked Jason Bateman in the various comedy roles he's done. But he's clearly suited for dramatic roles. The scene where the preacher calls him the devil is chilling. I also like Laura Linney's (Jason's wife) and frankly I think the show as a whole is very well cast. Can't wait for season 2!

I don't get why this show is good. I find it really boring. Been pushing myself to watch due to this thread hoping that it would get better. 5 episodes in and I still think it's slow and doesn't even have that great of a storyline.

I think it's a big change for what Batemen normally does. Personally I just like the constant changes and drasticness.

I watched this the first week it was on Netflix and thought it was amazing. All of my friends and family who I've told its a MUST SEE have not been disappointed.
Great show and 100% recommended to anyone who has not seen it yet. |

I feel the same exact way. Watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and both my wife and I thought it was so boring we stopped watching.

Forced myself to watch until the 7th episode. Still not into it. I usually just leave it on and read or do other things. If a show is only 10 episodes long and it takes 6-8 episodes before things get interesting, then there's something wrong with it (or with me).

BUt I like stories like this. Where there are no clear heroes and everyone is dirty somehow. I was hooked right from the start. |

I like the series, but it felt too much like Breaking Bad. I like Bateman’s character and how he talks his way out of sticky situations. Will watch S2 when it comes out!
