Ive seen the original purchase receipt and called the supplying AD. They confirm they sold that particular watch, so I have no concerns about authenticity. Apart from the costs of repair and servicing, another issue is that which has been noted on here..... Has the Panerai bubble burst? Ive been watching literally 20 of them on ebay over the past 3 months and it looks like almost none of them are selling..... Whilst the 351 would appear to be a good deal if I can get it for £4200......maybe its not such a great deal in a depressed market? |

Ive seen a few videos about Panerai from this guy......he seems a bit of a tart, but does appear to have an underlying basis of facts.... Whilst Im not looking to buy the 351 for its investment potential, I do want it to keep somewhere near the price Im looking to pay! Lots of food for thought....... The seller has been listing the watch for months now but still no takers......maybe theres a reason and the bubble has truely burst? |

That guy is a riot. I loved his review of the vintage Omega flightmaster 910/911 He was about 95% right, which is surprising.
It is a buyers market for just about anything except $10,000 plus vintage Rolex. The $500-$10,000 vintage and modern Rolex are just sitting there. |

One thing I can say about my PAM392 besides it keeping flawless time is one glance and you know what time it is even if you normally wear reading glasses. Even though I've got many other watches, it's my most worn one because of the simplicity and it's readability (and mine is only 42mm). One downside is that it is WAY noisier than Rolex and most other self winding watches.

Ive owned many. Hell look at my profile name. Anyhow, great brand and amazing resale. My recommendation is to buy into limited edition models, slightly used if possible. Especially the ones that mimic the vintage models from the 30s, 40s, 50s. You are likely to retain your investment, if not make money on it should you decide to sell. Go to the paneristi website for lots of references and also opportunities to meetup and buy. PM me for any information you need. Ive been into the brand and running meetups for over 12 years.. |

I find it funny that so many people consider the panerai styling to be "understated." In my mind the huge crown guard and the big bubble/unique shape of the case tend to make them pretty loud in my mind. I'm not saying anything bad about them, but to me they stand out in a way that says "look at my watch look at my watch" as opposed to subtle luxury.
I don't really like the oversized crown guard, so the radiomir line is more my style. OP you can get a new Panerai within your budget on Jomasshop or AuthenticWatches. Some people hate on the online dealers but I got a Bell & Ross for my sister and everything checked out. You're buying a new watch, so a prepurchase inspection isn't necessary. |

Was looking at a Panerai a few years back when they just hit the market. My friend who owns a high end jewelry store that sells Rolex, IWC, and other high end watches talked me out of it. Reason was they won't hold their value considering what they retail for. So I decided to buy another Rolex.
