Taking a road trip down to Detroit next friday for the North American International Auto Show. Anyone else gonna be there? What are you looking forward to seeing? I can't wait to see the X6 and 135i!

The local BMW CCA chapter is having a road trip courtesy of large coach buses to the NAIAS. This will be my first car show outside of Cleveland. I'm just pumped to be able to see such a large event.

As for BMWs, I am looking forward to seeing the X6.

I also saw on the Meet Calendar that there will be a meet Saturday, the 19th and then everyone will head to the auto show.

I should know this being a native chicagoan, but the Chicago Auto Show has no affiliation with the NAIAS circuit, right?

Yeah, get ahold of the guys in the Midwest regional forum. They're putting together a meet. Wish I could make it home for this; it'll be the first year in oh, maybe 10 that I haven't gone.
Still trying to see if I can get work to cover my flight home for the Industry days on Wednesday/Thursday. Just worried it's a bit last minute now.

Correct.
The Chicago Auto Show is just that, the Chicago Auto Show. The LA Auto Show is the LA Auto Show; and the North American International Auto Show is the full name for the Detroit Auto Show.
