Tag Heuer Connected
What is everyone's thoughts on this? I was very surprised to see them stray from their current line up and produce a product that has "iWatch" like features along with the fact they paired with Intel.
Functions & Features (from website): Diameter : 46 mm Thickness : 12.8 mm Weight: Case : 52 grams Memory: 1 GB main memory + 4 GB storage memory Titanium Grade 2 Case Bluetooth Compatibility Intel Dual Core Processor @ 1.6 GHz Heres the Link: http://www.tagheuerconnected.com/product Personally, I don't know what to think of the watch. But the feature I found interesting is being able to change the screen to match your style. Last edited by catchm3ifyoucann; 11-30-2015 at 03:58 PM.. |

I'll probably end up getting one, once they get the bugs fixed.

Depends on the price. I like the idea of a smart watch, but I can't get myself to wear a watch made by apple on my wrist.

I was surprised who well Tag was able to incorporate its history of elegance / beauty with new technology. Aesthetically speaking looks way better than the iWatch.
True words right here. But then again I always tell myself this and end up getting any type of technology as soon as it comes out. Quote:

As much as I love the fact Tag did something out of the ordinary and produced what I think is probably the best smart watch out there (I was not expecting any high end watch maker to do something like this). There is a part of me that doesn't want this watch at the same time. Maybe I'm a bit traditional and prefer my watch just to tell time, be an elegant timepiece, and also incorporate my love of formula 1 (such as their Formula 1 series). Times are changing. |

This is the thing that is keeping me from buying a smart watch. I've had my Omega Speedmaster for 10+ years and pretty much wear it everyday. It is as useful and functional now as it was when I first bought it (it is... timeless?? yuk yuk..).
This watch? I don't think I'll be able to say the same thing after 3 years, forget about 10. I saw they have a trade in offer for a mechanical Tag, but now I'm committed to either keeping an "old tech" watch, or spending another $1500 on a watch I don't want. Maybe the cheaper apple watch isn't such a bad deal after all... |

I don't get the whole apple watch thing anyway. It's all on your phone vwhats the point. Watch is like jewelry. Not electronics. Not for me at all. I see one I put the big L on my forehead.

I've always been a purveyor of classy shoes, classy watch, and a classy haircut. E-watches to me don't fit the bill. I'll pass regardless of the brand or manufacture of an e-watch.
Makes me think of those calculator watches. Why people?

Eh, I'm not terribly impressed. The specs are good but not great. And I know it's a popular ornamental feature, but a diver's bezel seems exceptionally absurd on a smartwatch. And despite their marketing claims, it'll be just as obsolete as all of the other current smart watches in a couple of years.
The best thing about this is that you can eventually trade it in at full value for a mechanical TH watch if you don't like it. So if you're okay with it being something you can play around with for a while before trading up to a real TAG, go for it. Full disclosure: I have a much less expensive Huawei watch, and I'm pretty happy with it. I love swapping out different watch faces. I typically switch faces at least a few times every day. It's a cool toy, but it's going to be junk in a few years just like the TH. |
