Didn't used Ferraris used to be cheaper?
Didn't a 10 year old 360 Modena used to cost under $50k a few years ago or am I dreaming? I was just searching and even 15-year old base models are in the $70-80k range now. Looks like they will forever be out of my price range.

It just makes me sad to think all my friends bought their exotics back in 2009-10 and they seem to be worth even more now than they were back then. I should have bought one when I had the chance, but maybe one of these days. Don't mind me ranting, I'm a borderline millennial so I want everything NOW.

Yeah 2008-2010 really saw prices on cars like this bottom out. I was shopping for an Alfa Romeo GTV and they were in the $10-14k range. Fast forward and they're now over $30k. Dream dashed.

Everything was cheap in 2008, 9, 10.
Also you're better off missing out on the old stuff, it was cheap for a reason. 360 might be the first one worth owning as a driver, not the kleenex build quality that existed before. |

The 1% has more wealth than they know what to do with now due to Central Bank policies around the world. There are only so many assets around to plurge the new wealth created out of thin air thanks to the banks, so this is why you see insane inflation in art, expensive homes, expensive cars, boats, etc. The other 99%? Yeah, mostly stuck in debt forever with falling median wages.

No, it's common knowledge that median incomes in the US have fallen and are still around 7% lower than they were in 2007/2008 before the collapse. Meanwhile the rich are getting richer due to central bank policies the world over, and the inequality gap has exploded. This is precisely the reason for the insanely high inflation of high end goods the past five years, the upper 1% have more money than they know what to do with and there are only so many high tickets items they can snap up. Supply/demand.

He's saying its widely hated by Ferrari owners and considered a turd. This isn't necessarily true though.

Haha, got it. I just googled 996 and realized it was the one with the ugly headlights. It must be pretty bad when even a non-Porsche enthusiast thinks its ugly.

I love the 355, my favorite semi-modern F Car, but don't think I could ever pull the trigger. They are notoriously expensive to maintain.
http://jalopnik.com/here-s-why-you-s...355-1706976075 - this may be a bit exaggerated, but I don't think I would test it out |

Fulvias aren't so absurdly priced...the HFs are expensive but the regular Fulvias are still affordable, IMO. $10-20k for a decent one and it will still have that lusty V4 exhaust note and that fantastic handling!
