I was practically born eating raw fish. For me, it just simply tastes good during certain conditions. When starving, I'll take a 20 oz prime rib medium rare with a side of lobster tail. However, when simply hungry on a warm day, something cool and refreshing hits the spot.

The yellowtail sashimi - good texture. Firm, good flavor. Tuna is for beginners. White tuna and fatty tuna are also good - but I only like it fresh fresh when the meat almost snaps clean as opposed to being soft and mushy. Ika has a nice sweet flavor. All sorts of eggs. The long neck clam - as long as it is not overwashed has a nice flavor and so does the octopus - but once again, if the octopus is overwashed or cooked, it can get rubbery and bland - I like it when you can taste the ocean in it a touch. Now, if you guys get a chance, you have to try the raw abalone - oh, now that is worth it's weight in gold.

So, for me, it's not about being trendy. I just like it just like some of you guys crave beer, or steak, or a tuna taco.

(Spanish) makeral always tastes like I imagine a boat deck would, and brings back good memories of going fishing. I try to get an order in about every other time we go

+1 sashimi FTMFW

Anyone around philly goto Morimoto's? I get their boat all the time. It's fantastic. Pricey but worth it.

Oh yea btw for anyone that likes sushi, try the spicy salmon hand wrap/roll. They are amazing.

Pfff.......so many people around here just eat it and go to places for it just because they think its cool or trendy or something. I've been eating sushi for 8 years out of my 19 years of existence and only in the past 2 years have all these random people begun eating sushi. So many girls are like, "yay, lets get sushi" and im like ok haha........same girls that say eww or gross to almost anything else.

Gahhh.. once I saw this thread earlier today I started craving some.. -___-
Was gonna go to the chinese buffet down the street and get all I could eat, but then my mom showed up with some soup, and decided to save some money.. +I didn't feel like driving.

I like it because it tastes good?? I cant really explain it, but it tastes soooo good. I don't know the names for the different rolls, I just get one of each, try them all, and then get more of what I like.
