i was actually at a bmw dealership today to finish up
the paper work for my new car. They had a brand new s5 sitting infront of the parking lot and it looked beautiful. seriouly, it has such a strong stance and body lines, looks much more aggresive than its pictures. I don't know why it was there since it is not even for sale here in Canada. |

Me i would trade in a heartbeat that was suppose to be my car but too much money=(... Nothign againt the 335 and i think overall the 335 is a better car. But i like a car not a lot of people have and is somewhat exclusive.

It looks clean, I like it. At the same time though you can make a 335 look that good pretty easily IMO.

If the A5 had a turbocharged V6 (i.e. B5 S4) priced somewhere near the 335i I would have definitely considered it.

i saw the s5 at the sf autoshow with a group of e90 post guys. it just doesn't do it for me. i don't think any part of the car is really that appealing. the sculpted lines that you can find on that car bear resemblance to the same ones on the e9x frankly but they're cut in such a way that it makes the body look bulky instead of sleek. i love the front grills on audis too but not for a coupe. it looked great on the rs4 but on the s5 it just looks like it has a gigantic nose.

If only Audi offered just RWD in there S and RS models they would taken much more seriously in the performance crowd.
The RS4 in RWD only would be hot. Just losing the 225 or so lbs from the AWD system would make it run like the e92 M3 no problem. Or at least offer an AWD system that can transfer 100% of the power to the rear wheels with a flip of the switch. You'd still have the weight, but get the great AWD launches, bang it into 2nd gear, then set all the power to go to the rear for better acceleration and less drivetrain loss. Would be the best of both worlds then. |
