another thing I dislike is, the passenger can't see it now as I usually let my passenger put in the routes or whatever in Navi while I focus on driving

Kind of like it, but also worried about the passenger not being able to do much.

so for those of you wondering about the passenger----I was thinking the same thing. Apparently the passenger will be able to mirror the entire display on their mobile phone!

If it is a sportscar, the passenger has nothing to do other then sit. What does the passenger need to do? Why then have the typical "driver oriented" cockpit of BMW? Just marketing BS? Knowing BMW lately, I guess so. Bangle generation did not have driver oriented cockpit.

Audi doesn't have a good history with reliable electronics...

Really????? Tell me about no extended leather here in my Audi, which is STANDARD. Smooooth silky leather all around the gauge cluster and center console. Excellent stitching throughout the cabin, excellent layout, clean materials, and smooth finish. Everything is fresh and designed for a great drive and feel.

My previous 11 135i couldn't touch the level of quality in this Audi. And the Z4 isn't even on the radar either. It felt as though I was stepping away from a Honda and getting into a Bently, that is the level of difference in quality materials and feel.

To all that complain the new dash I s a distraction, there is no difference than any other gps in the dash, or information cluster on the center stack.

Eh, the passenger cant see it, I won't care: I DRIVE, I don't ride bitch lol.

To be fair, the E81/82 had pretty subpar interiors for their class and for BMW on a relative basis, and you're comparing your top-of-the-line TT-RS to it. I think it isn't disagreeable to say that MB and BMW have caught up to and exceeded Audi in most classes. I was no more impressed sitting in an S7 than I was in a 6GT, and the B8 interiors don't seem anywhere near as impressive as what I remembered them being during their model debut.

I think MB is killing it with their new releases if anything.

MB is infact upping their interior. As for current gen BMWs, not even close. My "top o the line" Audi, has the same interior as the general run of the mill Audi TT lol. So there is no excuse there, and it was outdated when I receive the car. The newer current interiors are a whole different level of nice.

And if you want to go that rout, the "top of the line" M5 had the same crappy general inferior interior that I saw in the M3, all down the line.

Face it, the "ultimate driving machine" has average lame interior.
