cadillac allante: good car(for cruising)
i was chilin in parisian suburb and what i saw in a car dealer?????? a wonderful 1993 cadillac allante!!!!!!!! the guy told me its one of the three ever imported in europe!!!!!!! i fell in love with da car .The price is right so
_ Has the car good reputation in united states????? is it expensive to maintain (parts....)?? know it would be almost impossible to find parts in europe |

Never heard of a Caddy Allante.
Apparently it was designed by Pininfarina and production for 1993 was 4,670. Definetely a rare Caddy. But I would imagine it'd be expensive to repair over there.

They were great looking cars when they came out but a bit dated looking these days...I think the biggest knock on them is that they're in constant need of repair.

Total POS (IMO)!!! Very difficult to make any repairs in the engine bay due to the fact that it's a FWD transverse mounted V8 engine. The engine is STUFFED in between the front wheel-wells. Even a task as simple as a water-pump failure will require engine removal.

Actually built the chassis/body in Italy and flew them to the US to fit the mechanicals. Any wonder GM is in trouble. Reminds me of an episode of Married with Children.
