MAC Backup Question...
I am backing up the files on my MAC onto a new disk. My music was no problem...I just copied my Itunes Library and each folder was a different artist, album, etc. For pictures I am confused. I want to backup with each folder being an "Album", not a "Roll". How do I accomplish this? Thanks in advance. |

Wouldn't a roll mean an Album? I've been using my girlfriends mac book a lot lately but havent needed to back anything up for her yet.
Have you tried created folders on the cd and then drag and drop the pictures? That could be another way, unless you have a lot of photos.

Buy an external HD equal to or larger than your drive. Buy SuperDuper. Install SuperDuper. Make exact, bootable duplicate.
If you are making the new disk your real disk, the same process applies, but now you would need another HD to backup the new drive. You could just backup the entire contents of your documents folder. |

This is painless and reliable. It doesn't protect against file corruption, but for general home use it's great. Also - iPhoto has a backup feature - burn to DVD, but Superduper is better and much less hassle.
