For a company that big, it sure don't make a lot of money. Annual revenue 4 Billion, that's half a billion less than HTC, and HTC's got 14 times less employees. I don't see what's so special about Serco.

+1. If they really manage all of that, they certainly earn more than $4B. Unless they are hired as consultants by all those government organizations, which would be a different scenario.

The other thing is HTC is a products company, that earns on average, a couple of $100 on each sale. Their revenue is the full sale. This is a management firm, and their reported revenue is the service. First I do not believe they control any US air traffic control towers, everyone one who works are a air traffic controller works for the US government and FTC. The US would never out source this. At most they may man and operate private airports.

There are lots of companies like this company who are large holding company, this is not unusual, Level 3 Communications is another one in the US they are into all kinds of things. Hallibuton does similar things as well.

They make $6.4B USD and they have 70K employees which translate into $91K per employee, which is really poor efficiency per worker or that most of their employees make far less that most likely around $25K per year. I would beat most make even less than that.
