Hey guys. Was anyone able to add the 2vv adaptive suspension and the 4-zone climate control to their 540 builds?

I was able to add 4NB by going through BMW individual and special ordering it. I have heard of no success stories on 2VV with the 540.

CiprianS is obviously new here. He's asking Todd if he has his car yet.

It's just funny because Todd's car was in QC Hell for a long time, but it's finally on it's way again, and we are all very glad for him. :-) Just kidding around CiprianS, welcome to the forums.

I was able to add both to my 550e. Along with carbon fiber trim. Hopefully to be delivered in the next couple of weeks!! - Due in Baltimore VPC Tuesday.

Hmm... what can you share with me from your build so that I can show it to my dealership and maybe he will do also some wonders as yours did.

My CA contacted the regional rep. The rep made it happen. I did show that these options were available on the Canadian website for the 550e. That might have helped.

Also, don't know if any differences between items on 540 and 550e.

If you are in the SE area, my CA MIGHT be able to help and order.

I've been purchasing from this dealer for about 30 years, so we kinda have a set deal. Maybe, surprisingly, I don't have a firm deal on the car ordered. According to our customary "handshake" - should be a similar cost plus as always. I guess I'll know in a week or two.

I also don't have a deposit down- so if things don't work out I could walk away. I've purchased a ton of cars from them-also for my wife, daughter and many others I have sent. Hopeful it will work out.

I'm guessing the deal for others will depend on availability of a particular model.

Yeah, they aren't getting the 540. Only the U.S. market.

I am talking to my sales advisor right now, let's see if I have any luck adding the 4NB and 2vv on my build.

I can't do anything to it anymore, on Saturday it was in 112 with an estimated production week 50 and now it entered 150 and it has an estimated production week 48.

Does it take so much to manufacture the car in Europe? I remember that in the US for my previous X6 and X5 from status 150 until the car was done was taking only a few days.

If you really want the 2VV, ask the sales advisor about the next available allocation slot and modify that car instead. Believe me, this option will be worth it if you want any hint of the car being somewhat sporting in terms of handling. It was a battle but got the 2VV on my incoming 550e. If I hadn't been able to do it, I would have skipped the G60 altogether.

I haven't seen any successful story for a 2vv added to a 540. I saw it for 550s but not for 540s. Did someone manage to get it?

I requested 4NB and 2VV be added to my i5 xDrive40 order. It's in 111 and the sales manager said he'd look into it, but made a big show of downplaying expectations and claimed it'd probably be a huge upcharge, etc.

The salesperson got back to me today, a few days later, and confirmed I would be able to get it. The prices he quoted me were $650 for 4NB and $2200 for 2VV. I was expecting, based on other posts here and the Canadian site, for the latter to cost north of $3000 so I was pleasantly surprised with that.

That's great news! I would have likes to order both those too if I'd known about them at the time.

In case anyone interested for the 550e, you can now order the adaptive suspension through the BMW configuration builder ,at least in the US.

Its the "Dynamic Handling Package" for $2,200. Includes Adaptive Suspension and Active Steering option.
