Spacer sizings for front and rear?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I normally do 10front and 15 rear, but wasn’t sure on this one and not much info out there. I figured I’d just get 5mm and 10’s for rears and go from there. I like them “almost flush” with the wells, I like it to look stock but just that hint of the better stance when looking at the car. Thanks in advance

Well, I’m going to try out some hubcentric 10mm on the rears, I’ll post before and after pics.
No one makes hubcentric spacers under 10mm or I would have gotten 5’s for front.

Looking forward to seeing the results. I'm planning to order spacers as well. I thought i remember it being a common practice to do 10mm on the front and 15mm on the rear.

So tested 10mm on driver side front and rears. See pics,
I can’t tell if spacers on front is a tad too much or perfect. The rears are modest improvement with 10mm, debating on moving 10’s up front and getting 12mm for rear. Or I’ll just leave it like this with 10’s on the rear end of story Pics might have gotten jumbled up, but tried to keep them as before and after for driver side.

Screw it, I’m gonna put the 10’s up front and get 12mm for rears. Opinions?

10s look great on the front and the 12s look great on the rear. I was planning to do 10F 15R. Thinking I’ll do what you did and get 12s for the rear

It’s so strange how so little does and looks so different. I’d be weary of doing 15’s in rear for my personal preference of how I want the car to look stock, yet a little better

Where did you source the wheel spacers? I looked around on IND page but no 10mm. Mainly 5 or 12.

Legally I can’t say that, but I saw them fit the spacers and bore seemed as snug as last gen. Bono’s wheels offer spacers for G60 and they are same spec. Dinan guy said same thing, I researched prior to buying since there wasn’t much info on our cars, I was pretty concerned about vibrations and any other issues.

I think that “flushness” of the tires from the fenders will always be subjective between each person and what they personally feel would be a perfect setup. Judging from the pics, the 10mm up front look just about right and do think 12mm in the rears would be good. It’s such an incremental size difference between 10mm to 12mm that I believe it wouldn’t make that much of a noticeable visual effect. Now 12mm up front and 15mm rear would definitely make it look even more aggressive (imo).
Car looks good post pics once 12mm rears are installed! |

I assume those on this thread understand that BMW can use spacer installations (modifications) as a reason to void portions of the warranty relating to steering/suspension/etc. For example, it would be pretty costly to replace a steering rack if BMW denied coverage due to suspension modifications. Same for air suspension. Not saying spacers will cause any damage, but I am sure spacers could create an excuse to deny coverage. That said…it won’t be a problem if nothing breaks.

There’s some truth to that. I think my track record at my bmw dealer would look past it. I used to take shop foreman on rides asking him about the tunes I had from evolve and he told me there is no wiping ecu clean but he’d help me out if I blew anything unless BMW wanted to examine my ecu in Germany where they can do deep dives.

I picked up mine at BurgerMotorsport in Simi Valley like two weeks ago. I went with 13mm front and rear. if I were to do again. I would get 10mm front.
of 15mm rears. I was thinking to keep the center of wheels same as oem. (obviously 13mm wider) not sure if it would made handling issues or not. |
