Any BimmerUtility user in Southeast Florida?
I will pay you to modify my 2024 BMW i5 VO using BimmerUtility to delete 5AP (Anti-Dazzle decoding), prior to the next BMW software update. Let me know where, when and how much $'s.
Thanks |

I'm in South Florida, my office is actually in Boca Raton. I'll gladly let you use my BU dongle for free, but the app is coded to my VIN; you'd have to get your own app license from BU and then use wifi to connect to my dongle.

Thanks for the fast reply and kind offer. BimmerUtility paid app is tied to only one vehicle? That's strange if you own more than one BMW like I do. BimmerCode works on multiple vehicles on one license.
I'll check with BimmerUtility and get back to you. |

I have BimmerUtility dongle. 's not coded to your vehicle, It works on any BMW. It is, however tied to your account, so you can't just loan out the dongle. I log in on my mobile app, and connect to the BU_WIFI the dongle puts out when connected. I have used it on multiple BMW's for friends and co-workers.

Hey folks,
Thanks for bringing the Topic. I would be glad if you could share how BU and BC work with our G60/61. I came from e60, so stack in Inpa cables 😁 I am looking for a diagnostics solution and hope we can do some coding or retrofitting in the future. I am thinking about BC (because these adapters work with some Battery diagnostics software (eFlow). So a few questions for you: - Are the BU/BC dongles working with other software or between each other? -what is the better dongle for IOS? - Is it possible to Coding our BMW with BC or BU? Thanks in advance! |

Well that was easy and indeed it worked on the other vehicle just fine. Now we wait for the OTA update (I coded my own i5 a few weeks ago).
Pasting a line from AiredaleDad's post from the other BU thread more as a reminder for myself to reboot the iDrive later today. Is it needed or just to be safe? "After I am done I always reboot IDrive by holding down the volume roller for 70 seconds." |

Didn’t I read here that it no longer works with 2025 models?

I asked the company if it would work on my 550e and this is their response:
“ Hello, will work limited as there is secure coding 2.0 control units that no tool can access for fdl coding.” Not completely sure what that means and how much to trust it. |

I think there are parts of the software on the car that will not allow coding by anything but a BMW computer. You do have access to the FA table and can select/deselect features like the anti-Dazzle, High speed tuning, what tires and wheels, whether or not you have locking lug nuts, or any other factory available features etc.

I’ve ordered it and received a shipping notification so once I have it I’ll let you know what my 550e allows.

As someone completely new to the BMW world, please tell me why I want to spend roughly $170 for this utility and adapter. I’ve read about anti dazzle high beams and new ambient lighting colors, but there must be more. Can someone list the most common changes made with this utility? Thanks!
