On the i5 you can see battery temperature on the iDrive screen when you have it in sport mode while on the Live Vehicle / Adaptive Content display. Does that show engine temperature in the ICE models?

That is a good place to look. However, minor correction - the temperature reading on the far right is not for the battery, it's for the electric motor. See picture below and the section from the owner's manual.

dsgs: Do you see many new i5 or 5 series ICE cars in the Toronto area? I was in Mississauga last month visiting family and didn't see any on the roads.

I’ve seen a few. Probably less than a dozen in the past year. Oddly, I think I’ve seen more xDrive40 models than M60’s.
I stand corrected on the temperature thing, too… |
