I'm in the same boat. My car is also going to be held at the VPC in NJ when it arrives there on the 16th. Do you happen to know what this "ISOFIX" thing is and possibly when BMW will have a remedy in place?
[Edit] Just did a quick Google search. This is likely what the problem is.
