We’re gonna need to see mass production of much better battery and charging tech before those statements come true.

With just 20 electric vehicles out of 1,000 asthma related ER visits were down. Cleaner air is better for everyone who breathes. A study released this month showed that 3 million asthma attacks could be avoided as well as hundreds of infant deaths for those living in areas with high levels of exhaust pollution. This process actually starts in the womb. Everyone knows not to smoke while pregnant, but breathing in exhaust fumes is just as bad.
That’s a better world for humans. Car exhaust is not just carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons, but nitrogen dioxide, benzene and formaldehyde.
And yes, 3% is probably a high estimate for people who drive 1,000 miles without stopping. I don’t know of any vehicles with that large of a gas tank.
