7 series, X7 and 4 series have big grills. They all sell more than their predecessors. Sales figures were shared in this forum. Also M3 and M4 with big grills are selling very well, and almost certainly they will be the best selling M cars ever.
The problem with your post is that you don’t even know the sales numbers but you’re giving false information just because you don’t like the design. Very self centered point of view. You can be sure that BMW designers and engineers know better than you, and they never “bombed” before with any of their 3 or 5 series variants.
