It comes with the car if you opt for it, but it deletes the limited use spare. I was furious when I learned this as I had already received my vehicle and would have preferred the limited use spare (i.e. donut spare). I expected that the donut would be located under the floor of the trunk and couldn't understand why it was not present. My salesperson claimed [incorrectly] that the donut spare was simply not an option. After checking with the genius line and confirming that it was, in fact, an option
so long as the mobility kit was not checked, I terminated any contact with this salesperson and contacted the leadership team at the dealership to express my outrage. They were very professional and accommodating and they provided me with the donut spare and all that came with it at no cost.
I point this out so that prospective buyers need to be aware that if they want the donut spare
DO NOT check off the mobility kit as this will delete the donut spare.
