A suspect fleeing LAPD officers in a stolen Tesla was foiled when the vehicle's battery ran out of juice during a chase Thursday.
The owner of a Tesla Model S reported the vehicle stolen at about 11:35 p.m., KTLA-TV reports. Police located the car in the Los Angeles' Koreatown neighborhood, and the chase began.
During the chase, the car's owner informed police when the car's battery was down to 1%. Finally, the vehicle's battery lost its charge, and LAPD officers arrested the suspected car thief.
