I also noticed a recent report that some BMW wireless charging pads are frying the iPhone 15 NFC chips. Just throw it here in case you (and everyone) are interested to follow up.

It’s safe to say that BMW sources wireless charging components from an OEM supplier that did not advance its own technology fast enough. Unfortunate but it is what it is. Hardware refresh cycles of externally sourced components do not always follow the desired timeline.
Will be addressed in time.
