Well it could be lower but then you would most likely end up with bad knee angle for the rear passengers, and that's not how it's supposed to be.
I'd rather have a car that rides a bit higher but with superior seating comfort.
Tesla suffers from bad ergonomics in the S and 3. Haven't tested the new S so can't say much there.
