I know the G series is sort of the pinnacle of BMW’s m cars at the moment. No one wants to say it- but they were able to take the next step in that overall package.
Probably doesn’t compare but the Boxster/ Cayman cars with the 6 cylinder were also the superior cars from Porsche. Their decision to eliminate the 6 cylinder expect for Spyder and GT4 cost them a sale. I want sporty and not harsh. M2 is that equation perfected. I don’t care if the car is 3800 lbs- its comfortable.

The G is a good balance... If they could get the steering feel to be hydraulic in feel to the late 90s,2000s feel they would have a home run.
The tech and looks are subjective
