Yeah I think that’s a good analogy. I’ve got an i4 M50 and while I think it’s pretty fun to drive, it loses a lot due to the lack of exhaust/engine sounds. Even the drama behind gear changes.
The fake sounds it makes (identical to the ones in that ad) do a good job of helping a little without being obnoxious but obviously it’s not the same.
Ideally EVs are perfect as daily drivers in areas where you just spend most of your commute driving slow and/or are in congested areas.
They’re great on the highway too as they’re quiet and comfy with lots of power to pass and what not but if you want to go around a fun curvy road, can’t beat a sporty car with an ICE.
