I agree. Especially for the first oil change. I will wait until the end of the break-in, but am definitely going to have the oil changed at that point to get any impurities out. I think that while technology is great, and oil pickups do have screening to avoid large pieces of metal getting into the engine, the screens can only be so small due to the need for oil flow, that there are still microscopic pieces of metal that can get through the oil filter, and pickup screen, and into the combustion chamber and valve train. I would rather have these removed, than have them running around my engine for 10,000 miles.
