Lance Stroll: Aston Martin to adopt ‘new philosophy’ for 2025 car
Lance Stroll has announced that the Aston Martin team will adopt a new and improved design approach for the 2025 season. While the team sees this year as a transition period, they do not intend to consider it a lost season.
Rather than completely abandoning the current concept of the car, Aston Martin has been working on an improved design over the winter at its Silverstone factory. The aim of this effort is to address the shortcomings of the AMR24 and create a stronger and more competitive car for the 2026 season.
Lance Stroll said of the changes ahead:
We want to start the 2025 season with a new and improved philosophy.
To start next season in a better position, we need to have a strong and efficient winter. In the 2024 season, we have understood the weaknesses and the reasons why we did not achieve the desired results, and this experience has taught us a lot.
We now know better how to develop the car and do it correctly.
The team hopes that with these changes, it will reduce the gap to the top four teams and deliver a stronger performance.
