Our records indicate that your 2025 BMW 540ix is currently in transit from the plant to the port of departure, as of 10/31/2024. Since your vehicle has not yet arrived at the port of departure, there's no further updates on the status of your new BMW on our end.
Unfortunately, we've been advised that due to circumstances in the global logistics operations at the port, that are outside BMW’s control, there are transport delays.
I have realized that I will not be getting my car until 2025 rolls around! 😭

Okay, the “global logistics operations” issue makes me wonder what the current time frames are for port arrival to port departure. I don’t understand though? How can your car be in transit to the port since 10/31? Mine left the factory on 11/13 and was at the port on the 15th?
*sigh* I guess that means the chance of my 540 having gotten on the ship that left on 11/20 after sitting their for a mere 5 days, is about 0.0%
But honestly, BMW Customer Service is probably rubber stamping every inquiring with that. I don’t think those people have a damn clue about shipping times.
When I inquired they said 6-8 weeks to ship which is clearing utter nonsense; we’ve had forum members (recently) with shipments within 2-3 weeks of port arrival. I have a feeling they provide a worse case scenario so no one can call back and say, “Well you told me it’d be shipping in 3 weeks!”
Can anyone share their recent port arrivals (Germany) and port departure dates (estimated or known)?
