Ah, your despised F1 villain has hurt your feelings again, haunting your thoughts about F1 like a splinter in your mind; frustration and resentment as fuel for most of your troll comments. This time he got you rattled by using the F-word (when describing the status of his own car - no disparaging comment about a competitor) during FIA press interviews in Singapore.
But what about Fred Vasseur and Toto Wolff using the F-word during FIA press interviews ? F1 as Kindergarten ?
Nov 16, 2023 - Las Vegas Grand Prix - FIA press interviews. Heated exchange between Vasseur and Wolff. Vasseur was obviously upset about Ferrari being forced to fit a new engine and chassis to Sainz's car, resulting in a 10-place grid penalty, as a result of Sainz's car hitting a drain cover that came loose on the street circuit:
- Vasseur: "We had a very tough FP1, it cost us a fortune, we f**ked up the session for Carlos."
- Wolff (to a journalist): "You're speaking about a f**cking drain cover that's been undone. That has happened before, that's nothing, it's FP1, give credit to the people who have set up this Grand Prix, that have made this sport much bigger than it ever was."
The next race weekend (Abu Dhabi 2023), FIA gave Vasseur and Wolff a formal warning (no community service).
This race weekend - Singapore GP - FIA press interviews:
- Verstappen: "I don't know man, different setup, so as soon as I went into qualifying I knew that the car was f**cked."
FIA ordered Verstappen to do some community service ("to accomplish some work of public interest").
