So long as it hasn't run low on oil, then seeing as its a brand new engine i would hazard a guess that whilst there could potentially be some wear, everything maybe OK. personally i'd be more concerned about it being a courtesy car and being redlined from cold by people who don't have to worry about maintaining it.

Thanks for the info, what I can't understand is why the service for the oil wasn't deemed as 'late' in iDrive or on the documents I have. Very strange.
