Rare earth minerals aren't actually rare, we have a huge amount here in the States. What is the problem, currently, is people not wanting mines in their states due to the dirty nature of mining. You can mine these minerals in a cleaner way, but it is expensive, so currently no one does. |
I think this it what Tesla wants to do in Texas with first in the US clean mining.
