if you check the night photography thread there's lots more, one was a lot closer.
Actually, it's funny you say the buzz because I had one shot where about 3/4 of the picture was blown out and what there was of buildings on the ground looked like day time. I think a bolt hit my building when I took the shot.
I could hear whirring and buzzing it was interesting.
other times when there wasn't lightning I was seeing weird streamers going by, looked like really really faint lightning. Not sure what it was, but it was interesting, it was a hell of a storm. I'm sad I didn't get more shots. I'll call that my inexperience. I had it more dialled in towards the end.
