I sold my M2C awhile ago, so I no longer have biases on this thing. I can say, objectively, it's easily in the top five cars I've owned and the best BMW I've owned, by far. Truly great car.

lol. TTS is definitely better than the M2C. No doubt. But the M2C is a lot of fun and sometimes I enjoyed driving it more, not gonna lie. That's part of the reason why I sold the TTS.

I paid fair market value. Way below 300. Definitely above sticker, but the price I paid a year ago is still solid, so I'm good with that.

I don't think the 991 Tourings got quite into the 300s?...

Haven't driven the GTS. I owned a 992 Carrera S and a 992 TTS. Honestly, the C2s kinda put me to sleep. Very linear, very conservative. Decently quick, but didn't really feel exciting. Incredibly...

Haven't had those issues. My wife's old RR had occasional glitchiness but nothing lemon like, which is what your car sounds like. Her new one has been solid so far.

The Defender has a dedicated...

I see others have answered this question. I'm not sure on particulars, the dealership changed this out as part of their warranty algorithm. I sold the car on Monday, the problem never came back so as...

We've owned a few Range Rovers/Land Rovers over the years. Believe it or not the new system is a huge improvement, but it's not as responsive or reliable as iDrive.

Sold my M2 Competition this Monday and traded it in on a Defender 90 (2 Door) and wanted some parting words on this car.

I've owned several BMWs - the e36, e46 3 series, e90 M3, F90 M5...

No offense, but I didn't care for the manual transmission in the M2CS that I drove. The DCT is responsive, fast, intuitive. I daily drive and occasionally track my car and DCT is perfect for that.

I think the biggest X factor is the transmission. I would like to try out a DCT M3CS, but I suspect the M2C drives a little more "hot" in the lower RPMs than the CS. Would be interesting to see how...

the G82 M4C was similar. Every throttle lift resulted in the burbles. It sounds like someone with emphysema clearing their throat.

I didn't notice a huge difference in directionality - I have a lowered suspension on coil-overs with Cup2s, so the difference was subtle at best. I do think compared to a stock M2C the differences...

Something else crossed my mind this morning - I think the thing I was expecting was for the CS to be much more raw and animal compared to the M2C, ie GT3 vs Carrera. If anything it was more refined...

Totally get it.

Logic only goes so far when it comes to cars like these. I would not be able to justify a CS over a C based on performance, but I understand why someone would be into the whole...

I’m not dying on that hill ;)

There’s always a little confirmation bias with these things. It did feel a little more taut and a little more immediate than my car, but if I had some camber...

Yeah, I wouldn’t mod a CS. It’s a complete package, effectively BMW’s version of a modded M2C.

I do respect how subtle they made the car - it’s clearly a serious car for the track and no filler...

I think the question is why is the seating position so high in the C.

I thought it was in my head so I didn't mention it, but the CS is a lot quieter. And it's not speaker noise, it is legitimately quieter. Weird!

Agree. I’ve tried that before and it doesn’t work for me. I use my M2c as my daily driver or which I think it’s perfect for. If you have to maneuver around traffic, it’s nice to have a good car. Even...

The Carreras are very composed cars. They're all about balance. A very mature and actually hugely capable car that sometimes feels a little reserved on the street when you can't push it.

The M2C...
