Father’s Day Gifts 2024
For the men who have every thing, what’s something you would want this year?
What’s the best Father’s Day gift you’ve received? Need ideas. Anyone have pappy they’d be willing to sell lol. |

About 35 years ago, I heard a radio commercial that started out with promoting the ultimate father's day gift for the dad who has everything. My ears perked up, thinking that they were about to solve my dilemma. What was their gift idea? Flying lessons!
One small problem in my case was that my old man literally had everything...including two airplanes and a pilot's license with IFR rating. :( Having lost my father a few years later in a plane crash, I am not going to recommend this gift idea..... |
Only thing I want this year for Father's Day is to spend time with my family, play 18 holes of golf and great weather. Super simple.
As far as physical gifts, maybe some gift cards. I'm not picky, just don't want to do anything on my honey do list, which is a few miles long. lol! Gotta love house projects! |

As a driving enthusiast who suffers from motion sickness, I can say that any passenger experience would be a big no-no for me. The two ridealongs I had on track were miserable and that was in pedestrian cars with an instructor teaching the course (so not an extreme pace).
On the other hand, the driving experiences (Porsche, BMW, etc) seem to be great for a novice but frustrating for someone who've been on track before. Something that I'll throw in is rental karts. No, not the slow and padded indoor karts, but on an outdoor course (much bigger) with "real" karts (much faster). Trying those out last fall was probably the best bang-for-the-buck car related activity I've done, and I'm planning on transitioning away from car track days into karting (but not racing). |

It's a hard to recommend something without knowing what he's into, like what hobbies and/or activities he likes. He might like golf, or a quite day at the beach, or a wine tour and tastings, or dancing, or he's into collecting coins or model airplanes, etc. etc. I know what I want, but it's not going to happen :mad0259::D |
I just want no yelling and screaming kids for one fucking day. That's all. No gift. No food. No drinks. Nothing but SILENCE lol.

Seriously, an experience he can share with you and your daughter. IF you go somewhere HE likes, even better. |

Not that close to my son. He lives out of state and will probably text me, but that's it. No card, no gift. He's a good man and we were close when he was young but we drifted apart and never reconnected. |
I'm not a dad, but I know my own dad and my grandfather always talk about the best father's day gifts being the days they spent time with their kids to do something special. My grandfather loves fishing for example, and one father's day my dad and his six siblings rented an ocean charter boat and took him fishing for the day along with dinner. It's something he had done several times before, but having all his kids with him made it the best. That was 20 years ago, and he still talks about it.
